For standard pigment treatment, recovery will depend on the person, ranging from 0-2 days. Patients have described the treatment area as feeling like a light sun-burn. You may have slight pink or redness in the treatment area but that will reside within hours. 

For acne scar treatment, most people resume regular activities immediately following the treatment session. You may experience temporary redness and swelling for 1-2 days. The unwanted pigmentation associated with acne scarring should slightly whiten during the treatment, and then darken over the following 24 hours and shed over time.
